The Virtual Edge Platform 1420 or VEP1420, is a universal customer premise equipment (uCPE) device. The VEP1420 connects the service provider edge or small to medium branch locations to the cloud, to host virtual network functions. The VEP1420 is a single-socket platform that offers hosted virtualized network functionality, with applicability for the Service Provider Edge and Enterprise Branch. The VEP1420 uses the Intel Denverton-NS (Atom processor, C3000 family).
